John Emerson

John Emerson was born 19 Feb 1811.  He was the father of Harrison, Franklin, Marietta, Carrie, Ruth
and Willet Emerson.

Harrison Emerson was born in  NY 19 Jan 1839.  He enlisted in the 111th Regiment, PA Volunteers, 3 Nov 1861.   Died in a hospital at Frederick, Maryland, in Sept, 1862.

Franklin Emerson was born in New York 17 March l842.
He enlisted 3 Nov 1861 in 111th PA Volunteers and was
discharged 25 Jun 1862 - Surgeon's Certificate.

John Emerson died 30 Sept 1894 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spartansburg.
